Prison Depository(indlevering)

Relatives may deposit certain items to inmates through the prison depository.
Photo-id (passport, driver´s license or residence permit) must be presented when delivering items at the depository.

All effects, deposited for inmates incarcerated at Vestre Prison or Politigaardens Prison, must be deposited at the prison depository at Vestre prison. The depository entrance is situated/placed to the left of the main gate (follow the signs).

Items to inmates must be delivered during the depository's opening hours.

 
Blegdamsvejens Prison has its own Prison Depository and the opening hours are:

Permitted items through the depository

• Clothes
• Shoes
• Money (no amount limit but the inmate only receive 1000 kr. at a time. The remaining amount is put into a acount from which the inmate can withdraw.)

There are to ways to depotit money to an inmate:

1.  Cash delivered in the Prison Depository can be expected to be paid/transferred to the inmate the following day after pm. 13:00. Cash delivered Friday will be paid/transferred Monday
2. You can send a check. Just be aware that all checks - with the exception of checks from public authorities, must be approved by our bank before redemption can take place. It takes approx. 5 days (business days).

• CD´s, DVD´s, PS2 games in their original, sealed packaging if the inmate is without visiting and mail restrictions

• School books:
  Inmates who are enrolled students may receive schoolbooks through the depository. The prison school personel must approve schoolbooks before delivering them to the inmate. The Copenhagen Prisons have their own library, and reading material other than schoolbooks must be borrowed through our library. Books from public libraries outside the prison will not be delivered to the inmate.

Not permitted items through the depository

The following items among other things are not permitted:

• Food
• Candy
• Toilet articles
• Electronics

Photo-id must be presented when delivering items at the depository.
