Permitted/not permitted items
- Tobacco and max. 1 lighter/1 box of matches
- Max. Dkr. 100.00 in coins for use in the vending machines at the visiting centre
- Letters that the inmate is to read or review (with the exception of inmates whose letters are subject to censorship by police order)
- Photos not depicting the inmate (only for review under the
visit. All other photos must be sent in via the prison
depository)
- Outer garments such as, bags, purses, wallets, cameras, tape recorders, mobile phones, tools, etc. are not permitted. During the visit, such items must be stored in the special safe deposit boxes provided for visitors.
Special items permitted for children
- 1 feeding bottle
- 1 napkin
- 1 blanket/baby quilt
- 1 set of spare clothes
- 1 comforter
Special rules regarding food, candy and drinks:
- Fruits, cake and sandwiches from shops, fast food from grill bars etc. that do not require any preparation are permitted.
- Home made food, chewing gum, sweets and chocolate in containers with a broken seal are not permitted.
- Drinks are not permitted. There are vending machines with coffee and drinks at the visiting centre. Medicine, drugs and alcohol are not permitted under any circumstances.
Only limited quantities of the above permitted items will be allowed to enter the prison. Visiting centre staff will examine all items brought into the visiting centre. The items brought must therefore be easy accessible for staff to search.
Abuse of visiting order
If the visitor fails to comply with
the prison visiting rules or the directions given by the
staff, the visiting order may be revoked. Any violation may also
have consequences for the inmate.
